Light Chaser...

Hi. My name is Molly, I am a photographer in Northern Lower Michigan; recently I have gone back to the roots of my craft and bent the rules a little.  Film is a lost art, getting the shot right in the moment no more spray and praying, focus (no pun intended) on composition and exposure. The rule breaking or spontaneous element I’ve thrown in is the manipulating the surface of the film by soaking it in various liquids for up to 5 days. Mt Dew, coffee, red wine, rubbing alcohol, lemon juice, Coke, Sprite, Marks hard lemonade, dill pickle juice, vinegar, and others have been used thus far. I also typically use expired and the occasional cross processing (E-6, slide film developed in chemicals for C-41, negative film) which will skew the color balance, these methods have given my photography a dreamy quality and painterly. With each roll I develop more inspiration and I hope others will too. Go forth and create.
